On August 22, 2026, Silpakorn University held a press conference, an academic seminar, and a book launch ceremony for "Sirisin Silpakorn." This book was published to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, out of profound gratitude for Her Majesty's boundless grace. It aims to disseminate her royal duties, practices, and initiatives that have greatly contributed to the conservation, revitalization, and transmission of Thai arts and culture. Furthermore, Her Majesty has utilized arts and culture as a driving force to improve the quality of life, create jobs, generate income, and strengthen local communities and the nation in various dimensions. The event took place at the Tha Phra Palace Library, Silpakorn University.
The event was attended by university executives, faculty members from the Faculty of Archaeology, distinguished experts, and the editorial team. They discussed the concept and background of the book project, highlighted the book's core essence and value, and exchanged knowledge on history, art, culture, and cultural heritage related to Her Majesty's royal duties.
This event aimed to showcase Silpakorn University's academic works and pay tribute to Her Majesty's monumental contributions to the nation. The program included the official commemorative book launch, presentations on the project's background and core values, a panel discussion by experts and authors, as well as a book display and an accompanying exhibition. These activities were designed to further academic perspectives and raise broader awareness of Her Majesty's immense contributions to arts and culture.
The special seminar on "The Royal Duties and Contributions of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother to Arts and Culture" served as a platform for knowledge exchange through multi-dimensional perspectives of her royal initiatives. With deep gratitude toward The Queen Mother, the session fostered understanding and awareness of the value of Thai arts and culture as national heritage. The project was honored by the presence of Thanpuying Charungjit Teekara, Former Lady-in-Waiting and Former Private Secretary to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who served as the project advisor and attended the seminar.
Emeritus Professor Khunying Khaisri Sri-aroon, President of the Silpakorn University Council, presided over the opening ceremony.

Mr. Hathai Bunnag – Artisan of the Realm 2025 (Fan Painting).
Mr. Patipat Pumpongphaet – Archaeologist and retired government official of the Fine Arts Department.
Ms. Piyavara Teekara Natenoi – Director of the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles.
The seminar was moderated by Mr. Weerasak Khobkhet from the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT).
"Sirisin Silpakorn" is a compilation of articles written by alumni of the Faculty of Archaeology who formerly served Her Majesty in the field of arts and culture, along with current faculty members. The book commemorates the benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The title originates from "Siri," taken from Her Majesty's royal name, combined with "Sin" (Art), signifying beautiful and auspicious art, and paying tribute to the beloved patron of various artistic disciplines in the kingdom. The word "Silpakorn" refers not only to Silpakorn University but also to the creators of magnificent arts for the Thai nation under the royal patronage of The Queen Mother.
Additionally, the press had the opportunity to interview the distinguished speakers and the editorial team, who shared their impressive experiences serving Her Majesty. The atmosphere was filled with the invaluable memories that each individual held of Her Majesty.
The launch of this book marks another significant role of the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, in collecting, preserving, and disseminating knowledge concerning the nation’s intellectual and cultural heritage. It also ensures that the royal duties and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother continue to be recognized and beneficial for the public's education and learning for generations to come.
