The Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts is rooted in the Painting and Sculpture curriculum of the Silpakorn School's Technical Section. When the school was elevated to Silpakorn University in 1943, the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture was established as its first and only inaugural faculty.

The Faculty offers programs producing Visual Arts graduates in Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Arts, Thai Art, Art Theory, and Mixed Media at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. Beyond teaching, the Faculty is committed to art conservation, heritage, research, and creative development. It provides academic services in collaboration with governmental and private sectors to promote art and culture both domestically and internationally. Regular art exhibitions featuring works by faculty members, students, and distinguished artists are organized for public benefit. It also engages in exchange programs to foster cooperation with national and international art institutions. Additionally, faculty members actively serve as jury members for art competitions and provide extensive academic services.
