The Faculty of Architecture was formally established on June 12, 1955, as the "Faculty of Thai Architecture" at the East Wing Palace. Professor Phra Phrombhichitr served as the first Dean. Initially offering a 3-year diploma, the faculty has undergone extensive academic evolution:

1958–1964: Expanded to a 5-year undergraduate program, awarding a "Bachelor of Fine Arts (Thai Architecture)".

1966: Renamed the "Faculty of Architecture," with the degree title changed to "Bachelor of Architecture" (B.Arch.).

1974: Launched the Master of Architecture in Community Design.

1981: Renamed the "Community Design" major to "Urban Design" and the department to the "Department of Urban Design and Planning".

1986–1987: Introduced M.A. in History of Architecture and M.Sc. in Construction Management.

1995: Re-introduced the Bachelor of Architecture in Thai Architecture.

1999: Launched the M.Arch. in Thai Architecture and established the "Thai Architecture Parivart Project" at the Sanam Chandra Palace Campus.

2002: Introduced International M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Architectural Heritage Management and Tourism.

2005: Renamed the M.Sc. in Construction Management to "Construction Project Management".

2008: Launched M.Sc. in Computer for Architectural Design and Master of Landscape Architecture.

2012–2013: Introduced new Ph.D. programs in Vernacular Architecture and Urban and Environmental Planning.

2023: Renamed the Vernacular Architecture programs to "Vernacular Architecture and Built Environment" and the Heritage programs to "Architectural Heritage Management, Creative Industries and Tourism" (International/Multidisciplinary).

2024: Launched the M.Sc. in Architectural Conservation and Building Refurbishment.
