NONTHABURI, March 16, 2026 – The Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Silpakorn University, have officially joined forces to produce graduates for the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Health. The program will utilize hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) across Thailand as practical training sites to meet the country's growing demand for healthcare technology.
The MOU signing ceremony for "Enhancing Capabilities and Strength in Academic, Professional, and Research Development in Digital Health" took place today at the MOPH Office in Nonthaburi. The agreement was signed by Dr. Somruek Jungsuman, Permanent Secretary of MOPH, and Prof. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, Ph.D., R.Ph., President of Silpakorn University.
Dr. Somruek stated that this collaboration is a vital step in strengthening Thailand's digital health infrastructure. MOPH hospitals and provincial health offices nationwide will serve as "learning laboratories" for students, providing real-world experience under the guidance of healthcare experts and guest lecturers.
Prof. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat added that the Bachelor of Science in Digital Health is a four-year program. The first cohort of 63 students will be admitted in the 2025 academic year. Silpakorn University's Faculty of Pharmacy will provide academic support, research consultancy, and training resources to ensure that graduates can effectively integrate innovation into the national public health system for long-term sustainability.
